Any good ideas for a cool cake. The mom said I could do anything I like, and they would center the B-day theme around my cake!!!

It is a good opportunity to do something realy unique....

I have all girls at my house ant cool boy ideas would be so helpful!

I did a 3D alien torso. You could see it by doing a search for "3D" maybe "alien" too, not quite sure. Or I have another idea that involves a roller coaster or even a train track with a train... if you're interested.

I'd start off by asking her what her son's interested in. My son is turning 5 next month and loves learning about planets and anything to do with space travel, he loves pirates and pirate ships, and he loves castles. If you knew which categories to look into it would make your job a lot easier!!! icon_lol.gif

I'd do what WendySue recommends...My son was into pirates, knights and now this year it's Star Wars. I've done a pirate ship cake, a chocolate castle and a light saber...all based on his preferences. Hope this helps. icon_smile.gif

I agree ask the boy what he would like or ask him what his favorite show is you can always get ideas from that, and how about a FBCT, I did my first one for my grandson and he loved it.

Our son is turning six in April....we're doing a Nasa/Space theme.....I try to stay away from the characters because my little ones don't stay too long on stuff like that...don't get me wrong he loves the Incredibles...but I don't think enough to center his whole birthday around it. Ilike the pirate idea too.....!!

I think I may go with the pirate theme....

I did an alien cake for his big brother a few months back....

There's a super pirate cake that was recently posted to the gallery. Has gold coins around the base and a pirate standing on his ship. My son loves it! Might be worth checking out. thumbs_up.gif
