Ok, I have a request for a viagra pill cake for 20 guys. This will be my first time working with MMF (which I am extremely nervous about) I have done an image search and came up with the pill that rads "PFIZER" and "VGR 100" is this the front and the back? I want it to be realistic as possible. Also the lady wants it to read "The only one you will ever need" and Happy 50th bday. I dont want to ruin the actual cake with writing, so any interesting ideas?

What about a prescription pad with that written on it, could be a small cake or a color flow plaque.

I think the RX pad is an awesome idea for the writing!

I know using fondant can be nervewracking when you're new at it, I have used it on several cakes but am still perfecting my technique.

The most important thing is for the fondant to be pliable enough so you can smoosh it and smooth it around curvy edges.

Good luck!

The Rx pad was the first thing that came into my mind as well. That seems like too much writing to do on a cake to serve 20.

So, if you do the Rx pad...here's another tip...this is my latest and most favorite. I hate how those edible marker pens run when fondant isn't completely dry and if you want the paper to crinkle...well, good luck writing on it. I took what I learned at a gumpaste flower class recently and adjusted to fondant...

I went to the craft store and bought a brush with the tiniest possible bristles (there literally are like 8 strands on the whole thing). I use Americolor colors and paint on my lettering. So much faster and control able. (See the speed limit signs on my Robban's 40th cake).

Good luck with whatever you decide....I need to go finish a cake icon_wink.gif

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL HELP BUT THE ONLY VIAGRA CAKE THAT I HAVE SEEN DONE WAS JUST A SHEET CAKE THE THE PERSON PLACED THE BOTTOM OF A DISPOSABLE BAKING PAN ON TOP OF THE CAKE AND THEN ICED IT WITH ICING THE COLOR OF VIAGRA. THE CAKE WAS DECORATED VERY NICE BUT WHAT THE WROTE WAS THIS, HAPPY BIRTHDAY (NAME HERE) THIS CAKE IS MADE WITH VIAGRA FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT LATER. THE FUNNY PART ABOUT THE CAKE IS WATCHING THEM TRY TO CUT THROUGH IT.

The RX idea is brillant - or a RX bottle with the dispensing directions of what she said. Sounds like a fun cake. icon_smile.gif
Let us know how it turned out!

I did one of those cakes and I did the writing in the same color of the pill/icing. It looks like part of the pill. And they gave me a real viagra pill to put in the center of the 50. A guy ordered it for his best friends birthday barbeque
