Cake Mix...how Many Jumbo Eggs To Use?

Grrr, my mom just did that to me the other day. I told her to please pick me up some large eggs and she comes home with jumbo. Then again, I don't think my mom knows what a large egg is because if she's not buying jumbo, she's buying extra large. Now I've had success using the extra large eggs in recipes that call for large and haven't had any issues. Jumbo, I'm not quite sure. I do know that next time, I'll go and buy the eggs myself! 
for each dozen eggs:
Jumbo 30 ounces
Extra Large 27 ounces
Large 24 ounces
Medium 21 ounces
Small 18 ounces
Peewee 15 ounces

Although any size egg may be used for frying, scrambling, cooking in the shell or poaching, most recipes for baked dishes such as custards and cakes are based on the use of Large eggs. To substitute another size, use the following chart.

Jumbo is the only size egg I ever use.
I am not sure how old you are but if you can remember eggs before the 1980's then you will know that our Jumbo eggs of today are about the size of a medium large to large egg back then. So if a recipe calls for 4 eggs I use 4 jumbo eggs and have been doing so for years now. Everything always comes out nicely.
