Grams, the recipe is from new Zealand. There, like most of the world besides us, uses the metric system to weigh and measure!

By the way, the conversion factors are as follows:

1 lb = 454 gm

To convert from pounds (lbs) to grams (gm):
Multilply # of lbs x 454.

Eg. 2 lbs = ? gm

2 x 454 = 908 gm

To convert from grams (gm) to pounds (lbs):
Divide # of lbs by 454.

Eg 1000 gm = ? lbs
1000/454 = 2.2 lbs

Oh, 1000 gm = 1 kg = 2.2 lbs
