Does anyone have a recipe for a lemon doberge cake? I have been looking for one with a fondant icing like they sell in the bakeries around here...any help would be appreciated!

Thanks! I made one last night but the icing was not like th ones in the bakeries, it was more of a regular cake icing instead of the fondant one! The cake and filling were good! Thanks for the recipe!

I havent made a lemon one but they use a poured fondant for the lemon and a poured ganache on the chocolate ones. (over BC)

Where in LA are you? I'm a N'awlins girl living just over the MS border now in picayune, I'm working on my doberge recipes for all the homesick katrina refugees around here!

I'm in Gonzales right outside of Baton Rouge! I love doberge cakes and figured I'd try to make one myself. I also love pralines. I make those all of the time...many many requests for them!

Oh yeah pralines are the BEST! My mom can't make them to save her life - they either come out like rocks or caramel and never harden. Every year at christmas she buys the ingredients and I go to her house and make them for her, its our Christmas tradition now.

Nice to meet you, hope you cake turns out well!
