Say it loud and proud! Who here got the spark ot bake and decorate from a easy bake oven as a kid(or owned one as a kid)? I loved my easy bake! Of course i used the real oven a tad more than i did my easy bake oven. But i still loved it. But that really helped me get into baking more as a kid.

I had an easy bake oven too. The memories of putting the mini cakes in and then waiting in anticipation for it to come out. I think I got it for xmas when I was younger I was so excited. I wanted to make everything that day. So many happy memories with it. I think that they are still around today and when I finally have children I will have to buy them one, so they can cook with me. I loved my easy bake oven!!

It is still around today ,but i think they'r givng a new design? If i remember correctly is was suppso to look more "high tech" and futirstic.

oooh I had one and loved it! I wish I stil had it. I am trying to patiently wait on getting one for my daughter but I think that I just want to play with it. haha she is only 4 though so gotta wait.. maybe.
I think the box says age 8 and up.

I asked for one every year - and never got one.....
Then, on my 21st birthday - my older brothr bought me one as a gift.
Let's just say, my neice and I used all the mixes in one evening!
I LOVED that thing!

I liked it but m mom took it away after my older sister tried to bake my hand with it.. My neices used theirs about 2 times and got bored with it

Funny, my mum flat our REFUSED to buy me an Easy Bake Oven, though I begged for one each year at Christmas. (As my sister mentioned last year, "She was probably afraid of you being locked in your closet baking cake after cake with a lightbulb-powered machine!)
Anyway, I remember when I was about 5 or 6, my mum saying time and time again...
"If you want to bake, you can use the big-girl oven".
Boy, did I show HER!

Oh, I'm only 30 but just got a flash to my past as if I were 99!!! My dad and I were at the flea market and we spotted a Holly Hobby Easy Bake oven and he bought it for me. We took it home and he cleaned it up really well and put in the new light bulb, then he went to the toy store and bought me all of the little packets and off I went into 'cakeland'. I was probably 4 or 5 yeard old. Cake stayed with me on and off for years until about 3 year ago when people started asking me to make them for their kids.....and now after licensing and all of those legalities I'm not certain I've made any money yet, but it makes me happy!!!

Oh, the thrill of baking a flat little cake by the heat of a 25 watt lightbulb...memories just don't get any better!
