A quickie question. I've not used this before but I think I might give it a try.
I was just wandering if it dries really hard and crunchy like reg. royal or is it a little on the softer side?
Thanks in advance,

I'd say a little softer. I really, really like it.

I use it all the time now ... it dries hard enough to stack but there is no 'crunch' to bite into it. Wonderful stuff!

I love it...it dries hard on the outside (hard enough to stack the cookies) but when you bite, it is softish in the inside..it is the only cookie icing I use..just love it!!

Thanks!

Yes, it isn't rock hard. The water used to thin it makes it semi-soft/crunchy, but the cookies can be stacked.

It's the only icing I use on my cookies. It's the best!

I use it as well. It is VERY tasty unlike some of the other royal icing recipes. I have substituted pasteurized egg whites for the water and meringue powder and have added different flavorings and it still works out GREAT!!! THANKS ANTONIA!!!!

I'm a newbie and I used it on my very first cookies this week and I love it! (as soon as I figure out how to post pics I will! icon_lol.gif )
How long will I be able to store the leftovers? fridge or airtight container?
Sorry to step in on your post!
Thanks all!! icon_biggrin.gif

I have stored white on the counter in an airtight container for about 3 weeks. It seperates into 3 distinct layers so it will just have to be rebeaten when you want to use it again.
