I'm doing my frist wedding cake EVER in May. The bride has requested a triangle layer. Of course it couldn't just be easy and basic. Any ideas about the triangle? She mentioned she would like it between the round and the square layer. I am at a total loss... HELP!

You could bake a square and cut in half diagonally.
Did I say that right? You get the picture.

here's a pattern I made for cutting 2 triangular layers from a 15+ inch long sheet cake. (and be 3 layers if willing to use the half size triangles together to make a layer)

the sides of the triangle are 10 inches.

I thought a visual might help you. I found this on cake-magic.com. I'm assuming this is what she means by triangle layer. Hope this helps
