Ok, i have a question!! I was thinking of making little cakes for some neighbors, to try out my cakes and let them know that I am now A baker! LOL!!!
do you think I can use corning ware to bake it in? I have this set and it comes with a littler corning ware that would be perfect to make a little cake....
what do you think???
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It should say somewhere on the box it came in or on the corning ware itself that it's oven proof. If it says it's oven proof then, yes you can use it to bake cakes in.

I think if you can bake in Pyrex (I do), then you should be able to bake in Corning Ware. Just check the bottom of the dish you are using and see if it says oven-safe and up to what temperature.

I would think so too. Just make sure that you spray and line your pan so that it will come out easily. Glass right? Make sure that you watch it, glass cooks faster than aluminum. Other than that you should be okay.

Hello. I've made a cake in a small corningware mold and it turned out just fine.

You can definitely bake in corning ware dishes. I use to work for Corning Revere back in college. I bought a lot of kitchen ware items when I worked there and I still have my corning ware dishes in perfect shape. I bought all of my items about 8 years ago. Most of my part time money went right back into the store b/c I couldn't stop shopping. icon_wink.gif
