Hi everyone! I'm planning my sister's baby shower and I wanted to make all the food mini-sized (single servings). I would love any tried and true recipes you may have. Thanks for the help!

cakefairy,

I looked up the link you gave me and I couldn't find one with the mini foods. I also checked the Food Network for the US and couldn't find anything mini. Do you happen to remember what the topic or the episode was called? Thanks.

Leslie

Are you looking for hors'doevres ideas like stuffed mushroom caps or something else?

Here are some ideas we use for our parties:
spring rolls (store bought I thinks we get the Philips brand?)

ham or turkey roll ups ( wraps or flat bread (any flavor), then spread 8oz cream cheese+ 1/2 packet ranch dip mix+ 1 green onion finely chopped on bread then add ham or turkey) roll up wrap in cling wrap then put it in the fridge for a few hours. cut into 1/4 or 1/2 inch slices before serving. ( you can make these the day before)

Little smokies or hotdogs wrapped in biscuits (cut biscuits into 1/4) and bake @ 350 until golden (10-15min)

I have other recipes if you'd like them....Sandra Lee on the food network did pokerchip hamburgers and stuffed mushrooms ( I made the mushrooms...very good)

OOooooooohhh! icon_biggrin.gif Thanks so much!!!! They all look soooo good!

Do you know how I would keep all the food warm? I have the trays that you put the little burner thing under but I don't know if that would work. Thanks.

Good morning!

Just came across this post. I got quite a bit of my recipes from www.recipezaar.com. As far as keeping items warm - I have chafing dishes that I use. Some things don't need to be hot - just warm. I would lean toward things that don't have to be heated up or at least not have very many. You can make shrimp puffs, cheese puffs, stuffed mushrooms and so much more. Any recipe you need check with the website. If you have an idea of what you want and can't find a recipe - check with me I might have it. What I found that everyone likes is also the spinach dip with crackers - that's always a big hit and very easy. There's also a seven layer dip that has guacamole, refried beans, sour cream & other stuff in it. You can serve that with tortilla chips.

Just let me know if you need help.
