Try this link:

http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=thumbnails&meta=search&type=full&search=wizard+oz

It should come up with several cakes in the gallery with Wizard of Oz themes. If it doesn't work, just go to the gallery and try the search. There is a cake with the Ruby Slippers there, I really like that one.

Have fun!

I got it to enlarge for me, you have to click on the picture for properties, delete the thumb_ and them paste it into your browser. I hope it works:

I am pretty sure this was made using wilton's ballerina shoe pan but I can't tell who made them to see if they gave instructions.

Good LUCK!!

Thank you all for the replies, they are so helpful!!
Cake decorating is a hobby I only do for my 2 kids birthday beacause it is so time consuming!
But so much fun and they really appreciate it!
they are so worth the effort!

I recently did a Wizard of Oz cake. I'm not sure what your cake decorating level is but a warning in case you don't already know, you cannot find the figures ANYWHERE!!!! Luckily the customer with my cake had the figures from many years ago. So unless you can find them on ebay, you'll have to do something like the ruby slipper idea or a rainbow.
There aren't that many Oz cakes out there. I searched high and low on the net and had a hard time coming up with stuff.
Good luck though!!!

I think the ruby slipper idea would be really cute! You could use the res cake sparkles and it would look just right! The other thing you could do would be an edible image. Good luck and post a picture! icon_smile.gif
