I was going through my MIL's cake things and found some of the discontinued Tiara Desserts pans put out by Duncan Hines/Ekco... they're like Mary Jane/obsttorten pans, apparently. (An eBay search will pull up some pics of these things.)
At any rate... what does one do with these things? I think they take 4 cups of cake batter, but I have no idea how long to bake and at what temp. It's my understanding that there were recipe cards that went with these things - does anyone have any info for this? I'd love to be able to use them for Christmas, but don't want to screw anything up.
Thanks much!!

I have one and I STILL use it! lol!! I usually just fill it and bake at 325 and then check in about 25-30 minutes. Can't remember how long it takes exactly--but when you smell cake--check on it!
You know that you can fill the centre with mousse, etc, right? It makes a quite elegant, easy dessert that people think you SLAVED over!! Hmmmm--maybe I should pull mine out for Christmas, too!
HTH!!

I have one, too! I use the same cake batter as any other cake and cook about the same... Then I fill it with pudding or pie filling or mousse, or fruit...

What do they look like...where can u get one?
It is a pretty, round pan about 12" and it has an indent in the center that you fill. The edges are scalloped.
I have NO idea where you could get one now. they are from the 90's--early 90's at that. You could try Ebay.

Here you go--gotta love Ebay--they have everything! lol!!
