OMG, this is such a fun (but addicting!) game! A friend of mine came across it and told me about it. I found it on Yahoo games, and downloaded the free hour of play. I'm hooked! I ended up buying the game. You can also find the game at Shockwave, and probably a few other arcade/game sites.
In the game, you are a BAKERY owner, and you bake cakes & frost them for customers. As you earn more $, you can buy more equipment or upgrade what you already have. If you let your customers stand there for too long, they get mad and leave! LOL
You have GOT to try this game!

But I eventually got frustrated because I just couldn't keep up (and then it crashed and froze, I was devistated!!!) 
I discovered Cake Mania a few months ago and it was very addicting! I love it! I only got the free trial though. I would love the full version! But then I don't ever think I would leave my computer... since as it is I'm on this site every spare chance I get!
Yes. I played and played until I won a few times. And I'm generally opposed to paying for any kind of downloads... My 4 year old daughter has also become obsessed with it. She can actually beat the first year all on her own!

How bizarre! I just sat here and played Cake Mania until my hand went numb, so I stopped and thought I'd check in and see what's going on on Cake Central tonight, and here is this topic on the main page! I actually thought about starting a thread about it earlier, but I kept playing the game instead of coming here and starting a thread. I LOVE this game, but I get really frustrated when it gets too fast paced.
I have yet to play it but everyone in my family has. And I was like a backseat driver telling them what to do. LOL
I will have to try it with no one around so I don't embarce myself. I am not good at computer games. I can barely hand solitaire lol
When I downloaded it from Shockwave, I purchased the game for $19.95, and it is a one-time purchase. They will try to sell you other stuff, or get you to sign up for services, but you don't need any of that to buy the game.
I just checked it out - it's awesome!! I'm going to have to buy it when I get home!!

That is the most addicting game ever!
I downloaded the free trial and couldn't stop............so i kept downloading other free trials from other sites till I beat the game. I was content at the time.....but now if i want to play...i'm going to have to buy it...since i think i used every free trial websites out there!
Plus...I think the game gave me carpal tunnel ha ha
But I had so much fun playing!!! 
I just downloaded the free version and my daughter who is 10 was getting mad because I wouldn't let her PLAY!!!!

you can get it at bigfishgames.com you can play the limited version free or download the full verison. For those wanting to buy Big Fish Games usually has a coupon for 10-20 % of games so it would be less than $20 I used a coupon from them and got mine for $15. HTH
I downloaded it about 7 or 8 months ago - and got bored after 5 minutes. I also didn't like it that it froze my computer up.
It's certainly a cute game - but not what I expected. I'd rather spend my time making real cakes.
Are there any other sites besides bigfishgames? That's the one I used but webermo5 said that there are other sites too where you can get free downloads of the game? Anyone know???
