Hi-- I'm looking for advice on the best purple/lavender food coloring for buttercream icing? I bought wilton's "violet" but thought I'd ask around before the "big day". I want a lavender, not royal, deep purple

Just add a little at a time until you reach the color that you want. Just remember that the longer it sits the darker it will become.

Start with violet and add a touch of Rose pink.It will tone the blue down a bit from the violet!
