I saw a post on here the other day talking about pink champagne cake.
I have never heard of this before, is it good? Does anybody have a good recipe for this? I guess you find pink champagne from the liquor store?.
Thanks in advance!!!

I do a pink chsmpagne cake all the time...one of my best sellers. I use a doctored cake recipe from the "gourmet flavors thread" by macsmom. Basically its like the wasc but I sub the liquid for pink champagne. Its so yummy and moist. I fill it with strawberry filling. If you bake from scratch I suppose you can sub the water with champagne. I also add champagne flavoring.

I make it also, although I can't say its a best seller. personally I don't like it much i also use strawberry creme filling. I bake from scratch, using powdered milk for some added richness, champagne and a drop or so of champagne flavoring to boost the champagniness.

I just did a pink champagne cake for a bridal shower! It was a HUGE hit, I used macsmom recipe and filled it with bavarian cream. I have recieved countless praise which is an awesome feeling for a recipe I've never tried!

Leah-s: I also bake from scratch. Do you use powder milk on your cake rather than regular milk, if so, why and how much do you use, 2-3 tbs? Any information of how to make my cakes better will be really appreciated. Thank you.

It's a popular flavor around here too. I just use the cheap pink champagne from the grocery store. Add it to a white cake mix instead of the water (and a little pink food coloring) I use either raspberry puree or white chocolate buttercream (or combo of both) for the filling. Only problem is when I make it into cupcakes, the liners always fall off no matter what brand I use. Its a very moist cake so it must have something to do with the alcohol.

Leah-s: I mean if you use powder milk in all of your cakes. I always look forward to see your comments on any issue. I know that you're very experienced in this business. Please keep posting your comments.
