I am fairly new to CC as well as to the baking business. I started baking about two years ago and I love it. Although I still have sooo much to learn, people seem to really like my cakes and cupcakes. My only problem is setting prices... What is the most efficient way to price cakes and cupcakes?? Is it ok to use cake with added ingredients when selling or only totally homemade?
Hi Shakeycakes, This is a pretty common subject. The best advice to give you is to use the search tool above and search the plethora of older threads regarding this issue. There are some really great threads with great advice from other professionals for this.
As far as using doctored box cakes, I think that's your personal choice, however I wouldn't advertise you are from scratch only if you use this option.
