AI love a cake to be on a thick drum which is covered with fondant & edged with ribbon. It looks finished.

I'm making a cake soon on a 18x14 inch board! How much fondant will I need to cover a board this size? Has anyone else done this?

With thanks

Just so you have an idea, for a 2 layer 12 inch square cake you need 4 1/2 pounds. 12 inches plus 4 inches on each side makes 20 inches flat so I would think this would be enough.  I hope this helps.

Yes I have. Work on 1 kg and you should have some left over.
