I'm really into making my own molds for use with homemade (softened) gumpaste.  In other words, trying to make my own DAB or PAFMOLDS with ingredients found at DIY craft stores locally.  I have been using a two part silicone plastique product I got at Michaels and it works beautifully for non delicate items like plastic but now I want to get fancy and replicate lace.  What bothers me about the silicone plastique is the greasy slick substance that's usually on the surface of this product.  I need a mold making compound that grabs the paste.   I know it exists because molds I purchase grabs the paste.   For those of you who make your own delicate molds, what food safe mold making product have you used successfully?  And is it a rubber clay or a paint on rubber?  Which one gives you the best detail?
