Hey guys.. quick question someone wants me to do a late notice cake 3 tiers for 30+ppl for a little girls birthday party. So I decided to do a 6x3", 8x2" and a 10x2". Do you think this is good ?

Then I was going to buy the charters ideas put them on the cake as props along with slight decorations. Icing will be (buttercream) plain white on top and bottom with the middle tier being purple. How does this sound? Mind you this needs to be done by Sunday morning

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated

It's 74 servings - more than double the serving goal...

Personally, I don't care for short tiers like that. If it were me I'd make a 4,6,8 that's still more cake then she'll need but the fact she's asking for a 3 tier cake makes me think she wants that height.

If the bottom tier is 4", it should be tall enough but I suggest you do all of the tiers the same height.  I was going to do a cake like that and in the end I was so glad I made all of the tiers 4".

(I didn't notice the "x2", I must have assumed standard x4 or was thinking "2 layer"... forget 74 servings!)
