AHi, It's my boyfriends best friends 30th birthday and I would love to make him a beer bottle cake. I would love to fill the sugar bottles with beer would be such an added surprise and great novelty factor....is it possible?Any replies greatly appreciated!!
that would be quite a feat--i don't know--liquid will break down boiled sugar -- factor in the frothiness -- plus the beer's gotta be cold to be good --sugar & refrigeration is not a good choice--
try one in advance but i'd be very surprised --
what about a bottle made from ice?
i've never done it but they do shot glasses like that...
but i mean if you're making the bottles anyhow please try it -- just to see what happens --
i mean maybe if it was super last minute --it should work? love the idea--
filling the bottles and delivering it 30 minutes away--more challenging - lol
you can use chemicals to make 'beer pearls' or 'beer caviar' again you might lose the froth--i did it once with sweet southern iced tea--

I don't think that would work. When I made sugar bottles they actually had no bottom so, I didn't really do a full bottle, but once I inserted them on the cake it appears as they were full bottles. And, I'm not a beer expert, but I'm sure the beer would melt the sugar bottle. However, if you try it and it works please let us know
