on bottom?? I'm making a wedding cake [my Avatar]..6,9,12,16.....4" inches high..

6 in--red velvet

9 in--key lime

12 in--chocolate mud

16in--WASC

***all dammed, filled, genached crumbcoat.

Question:  should the 12 inch be WASC and the 16 inch chocolate mud????  I'm concerned about the weight of the cakes.  Please help as I am baking these right after work.

I think it would be much of a muchness really, they would both weigh pretty similar (heavy!). Not sure why you are concerned though? If it is because of stacking the cakes, neither cake sits on each other, since they will sit atop the dowels or whatever you use for stacking...

That's pretty much what I was thinking but I'm no pro so the smart thing to do was to ask the pros..they will sit on dowels or sps [if I get it in time]..tks Dayti
