Have you seen the cakes with the "baby blocks" that spell out the baby's name? That would be an idea.

Something like, 'Congratulations Erica as we welcome baby Jaxon*

Or, " Congratulations Erica and welcome baby Jaxon"

Or, just Erica and a little further away baby Jaxon.

Or, Erica is welcoming Jaxon.

Hope this helps generate some ideas :)

Not sure if you are making the ducks or not, but you could have one "mama" duck with Erica written on it and a baby duck with Jaxon written on it.

Thanks again for all your help. Customer decided she liked "Congratulations Erica on your baby boy Jaxon". Heres the final cake. not perfect (i HATE buttercream icing) but pretty good for what i charged.

what do you think?

Very pretty, it's smooth and I especially like the buttercream bows! and the piping around the bottom.  I too  hardly ever  do frosting because the piping kills my hands as I have arthritis.

I think you outdid yourself for $40. Judging the size from the size of your countertop it isn't a tiny cake either. It's adorable!
