I think that the flowers are beautiful and I like the butterflies.  If you were going for a less rounded look on the edges, you should use a crusting buttercream under the fondant and watch tutorials on how to get sharper edges.  Or better yet, just use ganache.

Your decorations look great. The roses are beautiful but I feel they may be a bit large for this cake and than again if they were angled upwards in more of a diagonal and met up with the butterflies it would pull the viewer's eye along the line to the box. I like the rounded off tops of the cake so for me that's not an issue. I feel your colors work very well. I do think the fondant covered board distracts from the whole cake it was the first thing I noticed when the picture opened I think the white or cream color just takes away from the cake, maybe if it were done in the brown or black whichever the cake is or even the pink it would have highlighted the cake. But these are just my opinions and it is wonderful you are branching out and trying new things! Happy Creating!

AThank you so much I too didn't like the color of the board. Think it would look better black but it was too late then.

Totally agree...love the flowers just need to work on the shape of the cake and proportions. Good job for a beginner. All the best!

Check out the tutorials on upside down smoothing technique. Whether you use butter cream or ganache it can hep give you cleaner lines.
