There is a double chocolate cake on epicurious.com  which is wonderful.  Very deep chocolate flavor, but not too dense.  I have made it as a cake a number of times.  I have not used it in cupcakes, but I would think it should work very well.

I haven't ever tried this recipe as of yet , I just found out about it last week you'll have to let me know how yours turns out. I've read in the reviews that its a very deep rich cake.

The Epicurious cake is the only chocolate cake I use! It's amazing, dense and fudgy! So good! I've not tried it as cupcakes but I have made it many, many times in cake form! Let us know if you use it how it turns out! :)
