AI am making a Angry Birds cake next week and the lady wants angel food cake. Can angel food cake be decorated with fondant like other cakes or should I suggest something else?

As a professional cake decorator, I do most of my fondant cakes on Thursday for Saturday. Bake and fill it on Wednesday, then decorate on Thursday. Simply cover it with plastic wrap to preserve it- do not refrigerate it as that will dry it out and could make the fondant sweat. Have fun!

AI would suggest something else, Angel Food cake is to light to support a fondant covering, it will just collapse. Fondant accents might hold up pretty well once they have dried.

AI use the same method as well but my question is... Is angel food cake a sturdy enough cake to tort, fill, frost and cover with fondant plus putting gum paste decorations on? I have never baked a angel food cake so I just want to know that it will work for this project. I'm pretty sure it will work but I just wanted to know for sure before I bake it.
