I am making an Ariel-themed cake for a little girl's 4th birthday.  I made my first buttercream transfer, it came out well.  I will post pictures tomorrow!

AOh my gosh they cakes this week are SO cute!

As for me...working with a new venue where they don't know what they are doing so it's being a challenge to not step on toes but get things done. But the Bride and Groom are so sweet and appreciative that it's worth all the work. No cake this week but photographs and set up will be more than enough. Then we get two days to play with friends in Dallas!

Hi there! Cant wait to see the ariel cake Norasmom! I also did my first buttercream transfer. Made this cake for my husbands grandfathers 91st birthday, he is a big classic car collector and this is a 1937 Cord, his favorite.

Hello Cat and all, I only have one cake.  For a little girls 10th birthday.  Her parents are friends of mine, the mom showed me a pick but my friends give me creative license to make changes.  She like cheer so I'm making this one.  Cake not done but not much more left.  Bottom tier is Banana Walnut with caramel filling, The top is Chocolate Mudd with Raspberry filling. My new thing... Ganache!! Iced both tiers with while chocolate ganache.  Will be a challenge with the heat tomorrow.  Going to be around 90' at the party.

I wasn't baking last night, all my orders were for the middle of the week. However, my children were monster this week and it took me forever to do simple things. I was up every night this week until 2am dealing with the kids are cake.  Last night at I don't know what time I crashed, woke up this morning at 7:30am, and thought "I missed the FNCC, OH NO!!!". I was the best sleep I've had in a long time. Now I'm ready to go for next week. Feeling very refreshed. Here are two of the 4 cakes I did this week. The others were just plain, no decor.

ALove that wood grain!

I wasn't going to do any cakes this week. We are moving! Sure enough, I get a last minute request from a planner. They wanted a dog! No!! No time for that. Turns out they couldn't bring "George" with them. The groom loves retro Mad Men style, old TWA, & flying. We decided on an old TWA route map & boarding pass, ticket, & Drivers License for George.
