How to make a cricket cake that's fabulous??? Any creative ideas please????

 (Note: this is CRICKET - NOT CRICUT)

 

I'm a hobby cake decorator and offered to make my cousin's Barmitzvah cake, which is due in three-and-a-half weeks. He loves sports, especially cricket (and I had in mind a lavishly adorned antique Torah scroll, complete with crown, jewels and silver or gold filigree.)

Any creative ideas on how to make a cricket cake that's really special please?

Thank you Rewolf399. There are lots of good ideas there for a cricket cake. I guess my dilemma is that I'm wanting to make a glamorous cake, which is a bit difficult with a sports theme.
