Do you think I should add irish cream or just irish whiskey straight to IMBC?

i was thinking that since it's already butter-based, to just use the whiskey, what do you think?

I would use either the whisky or Irish Mist.

In case you are selling this cake--I would be wary of adding any cream based alcohol in  any state that has cream on the CFL no-no list.  Somebody might see the word "cream" on the label and cause undesired trouble.

I think Whisky Buttercream would taste quite different from an Irish Cream Buttercream; wouldn't it? Even though there is butter in the icing, aren't you missing the flavor of the cream? Does that makes sense?

AJust put some baileys in it. It will hold quite a bit, but I understand smbc will hold more.

I don't know. I guess taste tests will be in order. I do think that Bailey's is shelf stable, so that must make a difference.

Yes, a taste test is Definitely in order... and since I happen to be visiting my son in Orange County this week, and it sounds like you need a little help performing that test and I am more than happy to volunteer my services!!!!

I have had a bottle of Baileys since before my move...3 years? Still tastes the same. (bleh! I am not a drinker!)
