Hope this link works. I am looking for the silver dragees that are shaped like m&m's. I have never seen dragees that weren't round balls.

Very near! I've never seen those either. They may have used a mold or flattend pearls.

It's never "just cake!"

You may get a cake for $way to little but you won't get this cake!

They are awfully reflective, could it be jewelry and not an edible product?

Are the silver dragees edible or do you take them off of the cut piece of cake before eating? What size of mm do you think the ones on the picture of cake are? They look pretty big to me. I do like the cake!!

Rebecca Suttersby, who made the cake, calls them silver dragees on her Facebook page. A few commenters asked her for her source but she gets a lot of comments and doesn't seem to have time to respond to everything.

I don't think they are hand-made or hand-painted because the chrome finish is too perfect and shiny.

just a tip, vanilla sky, if you're in California, you won't be able to purchase them yourself. metallic dragees are banned.

I'm on the other coast, preparing for 3-38 inches of snow tomorrow.

I googled "Flat silver dragees" and came up with a source in the UK "thecakedecoratingcompany.com"

I'm on the "East coast too and each time they update the weather it goes up another 6" - had to cancel two taste tests. and they're already cancelling schools.  Gunna be a biggie.  And what I would do is forget trying to purchase the dragees that big and just make your own out of a combo of gumpaste and fondant - tinted a light gray, then highlight them with NuSilver.  At least some old lady at the reception won't chip a tooth trying to eat one - sometimes cakes garnishes we see on line are for show only and don't have a practical application for actual use.  Happy shoveling.

On this page:

The reviewer says:

I know these are mostly for show, but choose your teeth wisely before chomping down on of these babies. They do make a visual impression though.

There. Their. They're not the same.

I hope I die before "your" becomes the official contraction of "you are."
