I also charge $25.00 set up fee to arrange the cupcakes on the tower
plus a rental and deposit on my tower.

so for me, I'd charge $250.00 for the cupcakes+$25.00 setup+$50.00 deposit and $25.00 rental for a total of $350.00 w/ $50.00 being returned with the tower.

What does that come out per hour for you after you deducted your costs?

Seventy-five lousy cents a cupcake!

You must be joking. I don't know what to say, but it makes me angry to se someone undercutting so grotesquely.

FYI, this is a 3 year old thread.

What is it with all these ancient threads popping up all of a sudden?

I think there are some people new to cake central that are doing some searching on similar topics and then post on a relevant thread.

For undecorated cupcakes I charge the same for wedding as I do for any other event.  I have two sizes - standard and jumbo.  Standard is the normal cupcake size and the gourmet is a jumbo about 30% larger.  Then, I have two pricing structures, one for no fillings and the other for gourmet fillings and toppings (i.e. chocolate truffle filling and ganache drizzle on top of the icing).  For a non-filled standard size cupcake I do those for $1.75 each, filled standard at $2.00 each; jumbo non-filled at $2.25 each and jumbo gourmet flavor at $2.50 each. Decorated cupcakes are an additional .50 cents each. But again, you can only charge what your market can bear which how I got my price structure.  Any cake stand rentals are of course extra. HTH

I don't see anywhere here whether these are standard sized cupcakes or the Jumbo size. Can anybody clarify?

Thanks,

Dave

I believe everyone is referring to their pricing for the regular sized cupcakes.
