AI'm looking forward to the piping course tidds how about you? Apparently we have to take piping bags or pay £1.40 on the night for them.

Laughed when she told me "we use so many we have to charge" so charging for the course isn't enough, no?

It smells lovely and ganache is setting.

Roxy most of my tins are 2" deep, some are 3". For the 8" tin 2" deep is suitable. My 9" silicone pans are 1.5" deep, and I've baked this recipe before in it with no problem.

I wouldn't mind an Agbay but for the moment the cake leveller i got in lakeland does the trick for me. Every cake has turned out torted very well with it! It won't work for cakes bigger than a 10 or 12" though, because it wouldn't be wide enough.

Sugarluva, LOL that's the case when we watch Suits- never mind the script and ridiculous story and plot lines- Mike Ross and Harvey Spectre are lush...

Tiddy lurve the washing machine! Did you paint the silver bit with edible silver lustre stuff? It's turned out fab!

Will you tell me your secret to making cakes so fast? I feel like I've been working on batman and robin for ages. Granted they are all done except the cake, which I've been working on since yesterday! I seem to be getting slower the straighter and more level my cakes get! Teen thought I was messing around when she saw me with the spirit level on my upside down cake :).

AOh wow marvel I'm loving the rainbow! :o

Tidds, hahah the woman with black hair really grinds on me. Don't know if it's me that I just can't take to her but she's got a very spikey personality and sort of looks down on you? Difficult for someone like me who is quite happy go lucky and a generally happy person! Don't know how to take her, especially when I just can't suffer fools lol!

If you start giggling you'll start me off and we will probably be thrown out hahah! Oh my god can you imagine?! HAHA

Found a website that does it for free. Can't remember what it was called though - sorry... =(

Then got the wonderfully talented hubby to track down the same font for my website, etc...

I did that r I did that one recently Jo. Worked really well. There were issues when I pressed a little hard with the roller and then I dropped the cake as I was putting it on the board, yeah, I really did that lol. Good job it was just a scoffing cake :)

Hang in I might have a pic on my phone

There you go. It's not brilliant but my first time with quilting.

AHaha maybe she took a disliking to me when I disagreed with her. A lady mentioned that she wanted a satin effect and if she had 'this' colour in 'that lustre dust stuff' and she said to the customer "why do you want that, it will make it shiny not satin effect" the way she spoke was awful!! So I turned and said I used clear lustre dust on my shoe and it gave it a shiny material effect like satin and it will work fine.

She gave me evils and has never liked me since!

That agbay is very expensive, what does it do that a normal leveller doesn't do?

Siany that cake is lovely and a great job for your first time quilting.

Just googled Ian Somerhalder I didn't know his name but he's gorg love vampire diaries.

Have you read the books roxy? They got Damon bang on but the rest were wrong. I love i

I did it straight away Jo. I actually found it dried out a bit before I got all the way round and it was much harder to get an even indent when it had set. I was working quite slow as it was the first time I had done it.

I was just cleaning all my cutters etc from todays cake and it got me thinking .........so just for fun....

Im sure we all have soooo much stuff that we mostly never use (if your like me anyway) and im sure that there are tools we all have that we just couldn't live without..or household objects that we magically turn into a great cakey item (like jo with her sponge) so I want to know what is your favourite tool and why and what non cakey item have you turned to good cakey use?

I shall start :)

I couldnt live without...................my colour shapers :-D for anyone that doesn't know these are rubber tipped paintbrushes. I use them for absolutely everything! They come in all shapes and sizes and are especially good for models (jo) so if you havent got some...get some

Item used thats not meant for cake......A cup tree! lol, picked one up in the pound shop and use it for flower drying. Much cheaper and you can get more on there ;-D

AEvening all, tiddy, definitely different, fab cake.

Loving the rainbow and clouds marvel.

OK, my huge cake is just iced, and as I was impatient I put my gold lace on, not bad, not gonna do the rest till after work tomorrow night.,

Did find it abit of a challenge covering a 12" must be honest.

Petitecat my cake turned out good it looked shallow but when I filled it and ganached them it was around 3" high, would have been higher if I had torted each cake but I didn't have time. Do yours dome quite a bit I had my fan oven on 150 any tips.

Tiddy cake turned out great, have you not met this boyfriend yet then?

When I use my leveller I score all around the cake a few times before going through that way you don't get a chunk pulled out at the end.

Marvel love the rainbow and flowers looking forward to seeing your cake.

No I've not read the books Siany are they worth a read?

I really enjoyed them Roxy but I read them way before they made a program out of it.  The only one I did the other way round was True blood but even then I had only seen Season one and then read all the books.  Love me some true blood.  So glad season 7 is on its way :)

Oh love the cup tree thing Tiddy. What are the rubber tipped paintbrushes do you have a link I've never heard of them. I am trying to think what is my fav thing but can't decide I love my mason cash bench scraper so much easier to get smooth sides with that and love my airbrush. Items not meant for cake my bbq skewer flower nails and stanley knife blades for sharp cuts both also from the poundshop. There's more but I just can't think at the minute not long got in from a presentation at school my daughter got a subject prize for R.E and was given a cinema ticket to see a film of her choice so is delighted and I didn't have time to do the dishes before I went so they are waiting for me now. I don't blame your daughter for being wary Tiddy but at least she's moving on.

I couldn't get into true bloody Siany watched a few when it first started but just didn't stick with it,plus the girls voice done my bloody head in.
