I'll add a third vote. They will send you samples of the boxes as well so you can see it in person before ordering.

If you want the clear plastic clam shell type, Plastic Container City has them. They have a variety of sizes from single to dozen, and short and tall lids. Mini cupcake sizes too. They also have lots of other items. I use the flat oblong takeout containers for storing in my freezer.

I like them because I don't need large quantities and they let you order by piece. I think you need a minimum $25 order. Always happy with them.

If you're not looking for anything fancy and a plain white bakery box will do, then one of the best places to go would be Honeymoonpaper.com. Granted you can't order just 10 boxes, but their prices are way lower than BRP. Most boxes come in bundles of 100 and you can get 10 x 10 x 5 boxes, for example, for like .25 each. I get a lot of 6 x 6 x 2.5 boxes, which 4 cupcakes fit into perfectly, for less than .10 each.

When you go through tons of boxes like we do, boxes prices become very important to your bottom line. Restaurant Depot is also a good place for bulk boxes if you have one near you icon_smile.gif .

just out of curiousity, do their prices include shipping or do you pay for shipping on top of it? I just ask b/c i have found boxes cheaper than BRP but by the time i add in shipping on those boxes BRP are cheaper (thier price is the final price you pay as they include shipping in the cost)

Also, i don't see prices on their website, do they have them listed somewhere? maybe i'm just missing them.

Leily -

Unfortunately you do have to call for pricing, but they are very nice and their prices fluctuate so that's why they don't post them. They charge for shipping, but can group stuff together to save money for you. I find that shipping is about $8 an item if sent by itself. But if 100 boxes is $24 and you add the $8 for shipping so the total is $32, I still find that the .32 cents a box is way lower than most places. Plus they arrive within 2 days after i place my order. Places that include shipping, most of the time, adjust the price of the item more than the actual shipping cost would be.

The cake pads are cheap there too.

I second PattyT for plastic container city. I have used both brp's boxes and the clear clam shell from PCC. I like the plastic ones because I don't have to assemle them AND I don't have to order 100 ct. or more at a time, just the number I need.

I order plain white 4x4x4 fda approved boxes from uline.com $16 for 100 plus shipping. I don't remember what shipping is, but I remember it didn't scare me and came like 2 days later even though I ordered the cheapest way...

Did you contact them? This does not sound like the company that i have dealt with and the product i have received. I'm sure they would send you a new box right away to replace the damaged items you received.

Put me down as the brpboxshop.com number one fan!!!! I love the product and the the service. I own a wedding cake shop and a cupcake shop. We like that the have such a nice selection of sizes & colors & free shipping. I just delivered 120 jumbo wedding cupcakes on Saturday in 10 of the Jumbo-Dozen size boxes and they looked great and delivery was a breeze!

Maybe you all could share the quality of the boxes when you give the prices on different companies. I don't think we have mentioned that when comparing prices, brp boxes are the sturdiest I have purchased and the finish on the outside of the box is superior (I use only the pink ones). I haven't bought that many because I took the advice from everyone here. I need that WOW factor in my business because it is all gift delivery. But boxes for just protection and transportation may have different needs.

I just tried to go to uline a few minutes ago and I have had a catalog from them in the past, but it said the page I was looking for was not available. Maybe they are just temporarily down or they changed their url since the person posted it that I clicked on I don't know. Maybe you can find out Aligotmatt, thanks. or maybe you know?

I also use the clamshells from wesellcoffee.com . I have always gotten my orders within a week and they are well packaged. Their prices are LOW and their quality is HIGH. My customers love them and I pretty them up with labels and ribbon. icon_smile.gif

I've had good luck with http://www.bagsandbowsonline.com/. You can usually find a 15% off coupon code online, but it's still $1.08 for a 6 cupcake box with insert. I'm checking into the honeymoon site to see if I can really get them that cheap!
