when you make a cupcake boquet like on the home page in the how to articles, how would you go about wrapping it up. i was going to make these to send to a bake sale. i dont want to put the saran wrap directly onto the cupcakes in case it sticks. so i was looking for an idea that would work better.
any ideas???

I remember seeing recently either in a post or in the gallery, someone used a cake box or other box that was just the right size for the boquet.

Cambo used boxes.. but I can't find any that size without special ordering.

I use large gift basket bags... wait until the BC crusts and then put the bag on upside down (bottom of bag is over top of cupcakes) I trim the bottom of the bag cause it's too long and then tie a ribbon around it. It works for me!

both good ideas. i dont however have time to get a box. and with the gift bag, i kinda need something to where who ever is buying could see the product itself.

i thought about maybe sticking some long skewers out of the cornors and then covering in clear wrap so it would sitll be covered, but not touching the cake.

I use the clear gift bags... the ones meant for shrink wrapping around baskets.. Michales has them - 12 pack for 5 bucks. product is seen and if you use a crusting bc, the bag is light enough not to ruin. I used to put in long scewers to prop everything up.. but found they were hard to take out of the styrofoam.

Good luck finding something that works for you

Hey guys! I did special order boxes, then tweaked them a little, but, before those arrived I used the clear gift basket bags and they worked ok. I think placing a few skewers as you mentioned is a great idea to keep the bag from touching/collapsing onto the cupcakes! Good luck!

I think they were 9x9x9 pitcher boxes.

those boxes look great but how do you still keep the bouquets from shifting in there??

Try glue dots! I use them for securing things when I make gift baskets. You know - those ooey, gooey clear sticky booger like things! Some also use them for scrapbooking.

Great questions! I place the bouquets on a 9x9x9 cakeboard covered with pretty foil....as in the attached picture. The pot is hot-glued to this foil-covered board, then I use 2-way tape to hold the board steady inside the box! I've also used glue dots and those do work beautifully also! When someone orders a bouquet, depending on the color/theme, I use a complimentary colored foil or paper to wrap the cakeboard in!
