Very nice. It's in the Cake Doctor book. They don't burn..you put foil around them to keep them standing up when they bake. I've done them... kids love em!
Thanks all! I just poured cupcake batter into the cones, about 2/3 of the way full and baked according to the recipe. I also put the cones into a mini muffin pan to keep them upright.
You did a nice job on these! I saw the directions for making them in a magazine a few months ago and plan to make them one day this summer! They are adorable!
I love these more than any other ice-cream-cupcake I have seen! I never really understood the others since the enormous mound of buttercream to look like ice-cream seemed like overkill but the whipped cream rocks! And the cherry and sprinkles on top are a perfect touch :)
If you bake them in popover pans, they don't burn without the tinfoil. They are deep enough to give the coverage to the sides so that they don't burn!

they look pretty i made some before for my kids and nephews and they loved them, my neighboor did too and it's such a convinient way of making them because nothin goes to waist, they get to eat the cupcake and the ice cream cone! and i hope you don't mind me telling the people that were asking, you put foil paper around in each cupcake cup and it keeps the cone in place and protected! also what i did was i put thr frosting in 3 diff. color swirls, pink green.i like ur idea 2 it looks great! :) :)
