Vintage Style Dahlia Cake

This was my entry to the San Diego Cake Club's 2001 show. I placed 2nd in the Amateur Beginner category for Tiered-Fondant cakes. The 4-tiers of dummies are covered in chocolate fondant w/gumpaste dahlias based on awatterson's tutorial here on CC. The graphic leaves were cut using the Wilton leaf cutter set. The ribbon is fondant with piped edging made with a clay gun.
