LOVE this cake! I am looking for some ideas for a Hawaiian theme, and this cake it perfect! Do you have any ideas on how the palm trees could be made besides Gumpaste? I've never worked with that before.

This cake is amazing!!! The water looks fantastic! Did you just paint the tinted gel onto the white buttercream? Also, did you use the grass tip for the grass skirt affect on the sides of the cake! This is really wonderful!!

am so glad you posted this. Was in an unhappy point cause I wanted something a little different than the catalog pics. This was just what I needed. I threw one together pretty quick. Not nearly as good as yours, but it will do. Thanks for posting.

I did the water using pipping gel mixed with blue color and the white is buttercream frosting
tried your design. didn't come out as great tho. this site has tons of inspiration.

Thank you. You can also use a pretzel stick for the tree trunk and royal icing for the leaves.
