Hello,
I am going to be making a layer cake with a cream cheese frosting for the filling. I have never made it before so I was wondering a few things.
1. Anyone have a great recipe they want to share??
2. I have a basic recipe for the cream cheese icing but I am worried it is going to be a little to thick, cheese tasting and dense. Would adding a tiny bit of whipped cream make it a little bit lighter??? or
Thanks!

HTH
Here's my cream cheese frosting recipe:
1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
1 cup (16 oz) cream cheese, room temp
2 tablespoons sour cream (I prefer Daisy brand)
6-8 cups powdered/confectioner's sugar, sifted
cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sour cream
slowly beat in the sugar, 1 cup at a time, until desired thickness and sweetness is reached
