I picked up a couple of bottles of Monin syrups at Marshalls (read about finding it at Marshalls somewhere here on this site). How do I use them? Can I add them to buttercream for flavoring or would that mess with the consistency of the buttercream? If I can add it, how much would I add? The only tip I've read is that someone uses it as a simple syrup so if anyone can tell me how to use it for other applications (esp. the buttercream) I'd appreciate it!

The Monin website gives recipes for beverages, flavored whipped cream, etc. but no actual recipes for baked goods:

I think these flavored syrups could be used for the same applications as the flavored liquid/powdered non-dairy creamers with the added plus of not being so heavily sweetened, i.e., everything from b/c to cake balls to simple syrups for flavoring cake layers.....

Thanks JanH - once again, you're always there with an answer! We need to have an "Ask Jan" area on this site!
