I wanted to see what sort of wedding cake Tom Cruise and Katie had for their wedding...didn't care about the rest of it...
I can't find the link again but I think it said it was 5 layers white chocolate with Marzipan roses and white chocolate chips studding it...

I could be a bit off on what I remember but wanted to see a pic of it...just for the heck of it..

Did anyone from CC make the cake?? icon_lol.gif

I have been watching for that cake off and on since last night, and haven't saw it yet. Why won't they show the most important part of the wedding? lol!

Studded with white chocolate CHIPS? Not pearls, diamonds, but like Hershey's white chips?

I wonder if the cake was made there or imported?

I saw these pictures...not sure if it is the actual cake, but the other pics are legit from the wedding. Scroll down and you will see apic of a cake that has their names on it,

I don't think that was their cake. It looked like it was for show in a deli or something. You can see someone in the background that is wearing just scrounge clothes. Yeah that was just a dippy cake...

Yeah, there was another story (lost it) how bakeries in the area displayed dummy cakes with the names on it.

Plus, that cake would serve WAY more than the 125 guests that were invited.

I read thatt cake was a dummy cake made by a local bakery and put on display. I,m sure they had an impressive cake and probably was larger than need to feed the 125 people remember they have money to burn and nothing is too expensive for tomkat. It will probably be on Entertainment Tonight and other shows like that starting tomorrow.

I have found no pictures only a description of their cake which is as follows:

The cake: Five-tiered white chocolate, decorated with marzipan roses, and studded with white chocolate chips.

I agree - the cake is the most important part of any wedding icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, I certainly hope that wasn't their cake. Not sitting out in that location for sure where anyone can just come up to it. That cake IMO...was hideous!!!

Yeah, I was trying to be nice in my post, but the cake IS hideous. It didn't look like something they would pick and the surroundings did not fit either, that is why I was skeptical it was the actual cake.

Sorry Schmoop~ icon_redface.gificon_redface.gificon_redface.gif Hey, I just figured that since I have read SO MANY posts here on CC since I have been a member and have read some of the "not so favorable" comments about whatever the topic is, I would just use one myself! I'm sorry if I have offended anyone by saying what I said!

I can not locate their cake either. Maybe it's too soon!!! You'd think it would be somewhere since other pictures are available! Let's keep searching. In my search though I have run across some gorgeous cakes! Did anyone see Marcia Cross's wedding cake??? icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

The pictures that ARE available were all taken outside of the venue. Perhaps that's why we haven't seen it yet?

cakemommy

you did not offend me AT ALL! I know what you are saying though, I try to keep out of all the hoopla that is going on. I have seen some topics that I just as well stay out of.

I just read in an article that the cake on the link posted previously was just a cake that the bakery did to display in their window. Other businesses did the same wishing the couple the best.

I was reading earlier the cake shown on that link, it's a cake that a local bakery there did to show thier support, other stores and people did similar things so that right there assured me that that wasn't the actual cake icon_smile.gif

Well! I don't understand these reporters! You'd think that what Kate and Tom were wearing, where the wedding was held, who attended, and of course little Suri were of prime importance to the wedding, when we know that it's ALL ABOUT THE DARN CAKE!!!! SHOW us the CAKE!!!!

Doesn't 5 tiers seem a bit big for 125 people? Imagine the serving sizes?

Most definitely! No puny little bite size for me either. Did any of the articles say anything about who made the cake? An Italian bakery or did they have someone shipped over from the states maybe?

I heard on one of the news reports that the cake was made by a California bakery. But have not seen any pictures or even a description.

I have a feeling it will from Perfect Endings--Oprah's favorite bakery.
