While getting my teeth cleaned yesterday at the dentist, my hygenist told me about one of her clients. She is the mother of a baker, currently going to culinary school. She said he bakes tons of wedding cakes and uses regular cake mix with 1 pkg of pudding and 1 pkg of powdered dream whip. Has anyone heard of this before and if so would you mind sharing the full recipe? Pam from Bama

Yep, use any cake mix with 1 cup of cold water, 4 eggs and one package (1.3 oz) of Dream Whip. Mix on high speed for 4 minutes and pour into greased/floured pans and bake as normal. The cakes bake up nice and high, so be careful how much batter you put in your pans.

I use the powdered Dream Whip in my cake mixes too (I usually buy the Kroger's brand, just as good and less expensive.) I add one package of the powdered whip, 4 eggs, 1 cup milk or water, 1/3 cup Crisco oil. Sometimes I'll also add 1/2 to 1 cup of sour cream, depending on the kind of cake.

I have always been told that you just follow the recipe on the cake box or your normal cake recipe and just add 1 packet of Dream Whip. I just bought a box this past weekend and was going to try it. I can't wait to see how it turns out! usaribbon.gif
