My Lightbox Tutorial...it Is Rough, Be Warned!

I put together a picture tutorial to show what I do when faced with a font or very specific image/logo/design whatever, that cannot be reproduced with cutters or software. This is great for monograms or anything really. Here are the pics in order. Now, this is roughly done, and my example would be a heck of a lot cleaner if this were for an actual order, but I just want you to see how you can get it precise, down to the swoops of a letter, and other slight nuances in design that make or break it as far as accuracy goes.
Thanks for looking! And good night!
Oh look at that, they posted backwards. Ok, well, start from the bottom and work up. Sheesh!
This looks like a really great method! Is there a particular lightbox you use... or could it be as simple as placing a lamp beneath a glass-top table?
Thanks for sharing!
Barbaranne suggested that you can use a Pyrex baking dish, turned upside down with Christmas lights stuffed under it for the same effect, especially if you don't have a glass table. But this is just a glass table tha I have, with a strong flashlight shining up through the bottom. But I like Barbarannes suggestion, so I'm going to do that from now on.
I know there are real lightboxes out there too, but this is just my podunk version of it!
Thanks for posting the tutorial Jamie. I know you've mentioned and described your method in another post somewhere but it always helps to get a visual. Great suggestion by Barbaranne about using a pyrex dish for those of us without a glass table . Thanks again.
once I worked out that GP stands for GumPaste and not GreaseProof I got it!!!
Thanks so much that is really helpful!

I've used a light box for years on other crafts, but not for cake decorations...DUH! Thanks for the tutorial Jaime. I'll definitely be using it in future.
What a fantastic idea!! Very clever, ive always had difficulty with logos etc think i will defonately use this one
I never saw this post so I am also glad this one was brought up. But it reminds me that I miss _jamie_ at CC!
