Awful product

Pros: None

Cons: Hurt my hands to squeeze the fondant out, breaks easy

The gun hurt my hand so bad when I would try to squeeze the fondant out (yes, the fondant was very soft) and it broke my third time using it.

Pros: None

Cons: Does not level cake

The wire bends easy and does not stay straight when cutting through a cake.  I would give it a rating of 0 if I could.

Works fine

Pros: Cheap, works well

Cons: The former is not circular

Because the former is an arc, or half pipe, shape, flowers that need to have a symetrical, circular shape will not work in this former.  But, for flowers than just need to be curved they work fine.   Note: this item has been discontinued

Worst Fondant Ever

Pros: Cheap to purchase

Cons: Flavor, Texture, Drying Speed

I purchased the Wilton fondant (using a coupon at my local craft store) several years ago.  It tastes horrible, smells horrible, is very chewy and dries really fast.  The drying time is really annoying because unless you are really fast at rolling out the fondant and covering a cake, it will start to crack on you half way through the covering process.  Plus, if you make a mistake or rip the fondant and have to reroll it - it is that much drier and will tear so easily.

Pros: Smooths fondant

Cons: None

I own 3 of these fondant smoothers.  They work great smoothing fondant and limiting finger prints on the fondant.  I also use them to smooth my buttercream (paper towel methond).
