||Me: There is a moment in every budding chefâs journey where they find their culinary destiny. My moment was in October of 2008 at a quaint restaurant in Cleveland called Moxie. Iâve heard it said that you wonât remember what you ate a year ago, but you will remember if you liked your meal or not. Four years later I remember every bite from that night. Beginning with the pistachio crusted scallops and ending with the champagne gele and raspberries. I knew at that moment I wanted to cook like this at home and professionally. With an opportunity to go to school I enrolled in Tri-Câs Hospitality Management program and began cooking. But merely cooking was not enough I wanted to createâ¦ sweet confections. As I studied my baking textbook the standard recipes were a challenge. I quickly realized baking in bulk was not my calling. But as I began to develop my personal formula of plating a dessert with complimentary components I found my love for pastry. I want to wow you with presentation, lure you in with the aroma, and tantalize your taste buds with balanced, flavorful confections. At Olivia rose confections we pride ourselves on providing desserts, cakes, and candies that are full of traditional flavors paired with complimentary accents to give our patrons a new experience of modern classics. Our gourmet cakes and cake mixes are free of bleached flours, white refined sugars, artificial colors, and artificial flavorings. Our commitment to using local products supports our local farmerâs market by purchasing our eggs, milk, butter, and cornmeal from local farms.
