I grew up on a farm and ever since I could remember I have loved making desserts. I discovered in first grade that I was artistic ... after graduating high school and several jobs later I was blessed to work as a graphic artist (my dream job), when I had my first child, I got so excited.. I planned his first birthday party but I got his cake from a local bakery because I worked long hours. I was disappointed, there wasn't detail like I had hoped for. I thought to myself I could do that, how hard could it be? I will make his next birthday cake. But it was harder than i thought!! So I got the bug, I started to do all my family's birthday cakes and friends too. Who knew that you can combine both art and cake! I am totally self taught through trial and error. Now with CakeCentral and other wonderful sites, learning new techniques is so much fun and rewarding, there is so much amazing talent in the world!PS.
