I got bored as a military housewife in 2005 and headed to Michael's for something to do. I tried crocheting, couldn't hang with it, took everything back and took the Wilton's classes. I figured I would enjoy having some fun making my son's and hubby's cakes. Next thing I new, family and friends were making all sorts of request. I have enjoyed being a hobby baker and I'm ready to take it to the next level. Since then, I've only learned from youtube tutorials and now the Craftsy classes (really, really love those :-)). I got a chance to have some fun and showcase a few more skills when I was asked to make 10 cakes with 10 unique patches for a Change of Command ceremony while stationed overseas in Germany. Those were really a challenge to paint but a pleasure as well. I can't wait to begin a new journey into caking, after my new little one is here and on a schedule of course...lol! Currently 37 weeks pregnant. |
