I am a self taught cake designer. I learned some basics from watching my mother when I was younger, but as an adult I've taught myself to use fondant and gumpaste. Because I am self taught I always refer to my cakes as "adventures". Just about every cake I've done has been a first in some way or another and since I learn as I go, it's an adventure. |
