I've always enjoyed doing art, mostly sketching and other crafts. Have been told I have a very good eye for detail. After my daughter's first birthday I bought her cake and was very disappointed. The lady had done all my nieces and nephews cakes and were great but it was the little details. I wanted a Sesame Street birthday and primary colors and she decorated the cake in pink, while cute not what I wanted so I decided to learn to do it on my own. I took a wilton class at the local Hobby Lobby and really enjoyed it. After putting up the photos of my class cakes on my facebook the next thing I knew I was getting requests and a descent little side job. I really enjoy making my daughter Ella's cakes now and she enjoys helping me (eating the frosting) |
