I began taking Wilton cake decorating in 1998 and progressed to many other avenues of cake/sugar work (i.e. airbrush cakes/cookies, blown sugar, gumpaste/fondant figures, flowers and follage, sculpting cakes, etc.). My husband is my partner in creating some of the advanced assignments some customers contact me to do. Steve's asset in those creations is being a skilled person to engineer and build parts and foundations for jobs that exceed my knowledge. I am a retired school district secretary/HR administrative assistant from three former school districts. This past December, my eight-year position as assistant to the Coordinator of the San Francisco International Airport/Community Roundtable on Noise Abatement ended due to budget constraints and reduction of meetings. For now, I can give more time to designing cakes and creating edible transfers for businesses. |
