This recipe is GREAT when using complex cookie cutters. The dough holds its' shape and won't spread during baking. Make sure you let your oven preheat for at least 1/2 hour before baking these or any other cookies.... get the full recipe

These are really beautiful! You did a fantastic job and I love how RED they are! Also curious…how in the world do folks get the cupcakes out of the cups without getting icing all over their fingers?

I’m suspecting that no one has a solution of how to get the cupcakes out without getting on the fingers. if someone gave me this bouquet, I would just wait till I was alone then suck each cupcake out in private!…and love every last one of them. how decadent is that!
Thank you Dayyi, this is a perfect tutorial on how to make a beautiful presentation (and I love your roses just as they are)

To get them out, couldn’t you just squeeze the bottom of a cup to kind of force ithe cupcake to push up? And then you could grab it at it’s sides? It works in my head, but I don’t know in reality if it would work!

This is a great tutorial, and your roses are lovely! I think you could just take a knife or butter knife even and slide down the inside of the cup and pop it up out of the cup.

I’ve got an idea! What about putting a long piece of ribbon in each cup, so there’s some on each side hanging out, then put the cupcakes in the cups & ice them. It would make the bouquet even prettier with ribbons in it, and then you could pull the strings to get them out, mess-free! ♥
Huh? Huh?? I know, I know, genius, right?!

What a great idea LOVE IT!!! Thank you for sharing and to the comment about your roses never mind it, you did excellent. The purpose here was to share your genius idea about a new and clever way to display cupcake bouquets and not on how to make roses.
Thanks again for sharing! =)

Thank you for the tutorial. I saw your post in the morning and made the bouquet in the evening with left over cupcake batter and buttercreamicing. I also had the plastic cups at home. here’s the link. Thanks again. You are the Best!

You know, the ribbon idea may be a genius idea! When I saw them, the first thing I wondered was how to get them out, but I thought just use a fork or a butter knife to pry it out. The ribbon would work though!
And I thought the comment on the roses needing work was rude and uncalled for. I don’t see a think wrong with them, I actually clicked on the tutorial to see what tip was used because I think they look great.

I think this is a wonderful idea! And your roses look AMAZING! I have been trying to think of something that is pretty, quick, and would express how much I love and appreciate my daughters and daughters-in-law and this fits the bill perfectly!!!! It even looks easy to transport…and after all who doesn’t want roses delivered to you at your job?!?!?!?! heehee
Thanks so much for sharing!

Also, what if you cut notches in the cups like the finger inserts in the cupcake boxes, I don’t know if they’d be visable or sharp, but if it worked it would provide a cleaner way to grab the cupcakes…

Great Job, Thanks for showing us how to do this, I was going to comment about the roses comment, but I was thought if you don’t have anything nice to say, don;t say it at all.
Again thank you I appreciate the step by step.

This was a great tutorial, thank you! And so pretty! I was asked to donate something for a school fundraiser and now that I have seen this, I will make a couple of these to donate! So much easier and less expensive than a cake and just as pretty! Thanks again.

HI all. I was inspired. I was able to get some 3 1/4 oz cups which fits the cupcake liner perfectly (not as deep as the 4 oz). from Smart and Final. Smart and Final also carries 4 oz cups. Total arrangement was 10″ in diameter. The staples broke the plastic however, tape worked fine. Now, I’m going to bake some cupcakes.

Your tutorial is wonderful. These make great thank you gifts,I have always made the 19 cup version, but there has been times where 19 is too many, this smaller version looks really nice, and so does your roses! ; )

I like this method way better than the other one.. The cupcakes look more secured.. no risk of falling off and probably can withstand transporting better..

I did something similar last year for our school cake walk. Instead of the plastic cups, I only had 5 oz. paper cups on hand, and they worked quite well. Stapled easily, and while not quite as “round” as this bouquet, they were a hit! Thanks for posting such a great series of photos to make it easy to follow!

That is really neat!! Thanks ever so much for sharing this with us!! I have never seen anything like it before and will definitely be doing it!! I say just get a fork and eat the cupcake out of the cup, that would be how I would solve getting the cupcake out! Love it!! Great job!! Too bad they don’t have a like button on here like they do on Facebook so I can like some of the comments that are made on here!! Or press a dislike button like the rude comment that someone made earlier about you working on your roses!! She did a wonderful job and shared something really neat with us!! Have a blessed day to all the wonderful bakers who make such beautiful art that taste great and make the world happy!!
