Depending on how high you like the wrapper to come up, it may be used on a large cupcake. Of course you would have to cut the wrapper longer from the doily if the circumference of your large cupcake is longer than the regular cupcake.
I want to make cupcake towels as wedding favours - meaning, wrap facetowels and place them in a cupcake wrapper and then inside a nice gift box.
My towels wrap around 6cm on the bottom, 8-9cm on top and around 8cm high.
Does anyone know how I can go about getting the doily right for these? I would hate to buy so many of them and then just make a big mess!
I used this method recently to wrap around 120 cupcakes for a wedding they looked great even though they took a while to do,,but so worth it.
Is the lace on the doily large enough to get it around the cuppy and the bottom too? thanks
The caption says, "...any paper doily..." but they come in many different sizes. Is there one size that works best?
Thanks for the idea!
Fearlessbaker it does;t cover the bottom of the cupcake only the sides.
Thank you for your reply. I am going to give it a try.
Great idea and so simple thanks for the tip.
Question, most of my cupcakes are large, will this method work on large cupcakes as well?
The regular size cupcake take the 12" doily. You will get 2 or 3 from one doily if you are careful with you cut.

Is there a template somewhere for the wrapper?
Thank you for the idea. what kind of tape do u use?
This is brilliant! Thanks for sharing. :)
I would think a double sided tape, or perhaps a dab of hot glue or a glue dot would work to adhere or keep closed. Great idea!
Too cool thanks for the great idea!
